The staff is very polite and helpful kids are very disrespectful and act like middle school kids but overall it's a good school one of the best in the area and way better then Dundalk or Kenwood
So much to write... about Perry Hall High School... This school bleeds parents for money for classes ... for a dances... The students have a ring dance in the school cafeteria... but parents must pay $30.00 for tickets ... this ring dance do not include professional photographers to capture the moments of this ring dance... or anything special.. so why are they charging $30 per student in the junior class... to add insult.. they are calling this dance a junior prom also.. again with no photographer to capture these moments .. and junior proms are normally held at an outside venue ... so where is this money going to ???? Some classes are demanding money .. in order for the student to take the class.. this is a public school ! Why do the parents have to pay money for classes???? The administration is very disorganized and Ms. Dorsey should be under review for racial discrimination.. as she has made direct racial remarks to my daughters and Mr. Last did nothing . Ms. Dorsey tries to use her authority as an administrator as a weapon against minority’s. The overall school is very disappointing. Do not send your kids to Perry Hall High!
Me Dorsey should not be involved in education , as she has stated " She knows how Black Girls Act" .. The principal did not take any action against her or advise the inappropriate nature of her comment ... as she was dealing with my family members who are African American. She tried to get my family members .. who were students to admit to an action .. they did not do and Ms. Dorsey was proven wrong... as the truth prevailed ... She needs to attend classes in how to communicate with parents ... and what not to say out her mouth . Ms. Dorsey tries to use her authority and personal feelings against students in discipline... She documents and coheres false statements from students and sends non problematic students to the board if you disagree with her. Even documented emails show bullying and once you are fed up and disagree with her... she use her authority to remove students who are not the problem ... she should be removed from this school until she is investigated. This school deserves no stars..
The freshman at this school are annoying and obnoxious. The school has too many fights. Miss Dorcy is rude to black kids. One time in the cafeteria, my friend's and I were laughing at a joke someone made and she came over and yelled at us. There's a hallway called the birdcage where people have sex. Homecoming is a rip-off as well. You have to pay extra just for food, when at parties that's usually free! They also sell Italian ice which tastes like colored water.
Both of my children graduated from PHHS with first-class foundations that prepared them for success in college. Teachers were uniformly inspirational, knowledgeable, and highly motivated.
