There are no shower curtains in the cellblock showers.

This is by far the worse gym I have attended in my 30 years.

The whole place can hear it, it pathetic, that no one there says anything to the person.

I’ve been a member for a couple of years. I can somewhat put up with the uncleanliness. But I get really annoyed at people slamming weights. I don’t mean just typical clanks, etc. I mean people bringing heavy weights at full contraction, and the just letting go of it.

This place is covered with litter, trash and is dirty. Equipment broken, not working and DEFINITELY not worth how much you have to pay to go to this gross excuse for a gym. Staff sometimes is there to great you, sometimes not, who knows???? You get a "complimentary" session with a trainer, and all he does is tell you hot fat you are, not tell you just a general work out plan that would be good for you, he just pressures you then and every time you see him walking around to sign up for a whole year to train with him. He even was like, I know your getting married and I don't thing you're going to look good in your dress. Like dude stay out the f my business you have no right to at that. Unprofessionally, not clean, gross mess.

The sauna is next to the pool and very uncomfortabe since it is co-ed.

I want to post a good review. I really do. The gym is a good size, reasonably priced, and has the indoor pool (compared to the pricing and outdoor only pool of Merritt up the road). I am not usually a complainer online, and as a backstory I have been an endurance runner for over 15 years so I am used to running/working out in all conditions and am not one who needs a lot of gym "frills." That all being said, my workout today at LA White Marsh was downright dangerous, and absolutely didn't need to be. I wanted to do a short treadmill run to stay out of the outdoor heat. First, walking up the stairs I almost slipped and fell twice. The stairs were wet and super slippery! At the top I found a caution sign and more water- I guess the condensation from the a/c unit was dripping onto the floor? However, I found it surprising that there was any sort of functioning a/c unit because it was hotter upstairs than it was outside. 100% not exaggerating. I found a treadmill in the direction of the lone functioning fan on the floor, and started my workout. By 10 minutes my face was flushed and I was starting to get dizzy. It was too hot to breathe or even think straight. By 20 minutes I was legitimately worried I was going to pass out. I had drained one 20 oz bottle of water, refilled and drained it again, and completely soaked up my own sweat with two sports towels. Again, I have run in all conditions outdoors, so I knew immediately I was starting to show signs of heat exhaustion and stopped my workout. I am angry, disappointed, and just incredulous right now. A gym is supposed to be a safe environment. We pay good money for that assurance. Air conditioning on a 100+ degree day is a MUST for a gym. My fear is someone who is a less seasoned athlete be subjected to these deplorable conditions and get hurt, sick, or worse. Please get your stuff together, LA Fitness. You have so much potential, and a few simple necessary upgrades will do wonders for your clientele. I am fighting so hard going over to Merritt but if this keeps up, I may have no choice. I will be submitting a complaint to the corporate office as well. This is not a "high maintenance" or unjustified complaint. Members deserve a certain level of decency for the services and environment they pay for, and this location is clearly falling short.

The locker rooms have no lengthy mirrors. Standing at 5'6.5 I can only see the top of my chest from the nipples up and my head.

What kind of jerk designed this gym and what kind of jerk either approved this design or refuses to renovate?

Whoever owns this place must be a huge anal jerk.

Renovate you must! We think you are a huge jerk!

Very Old and outdated. Not clean, old equipment, no air conditioning in cardio area. Staff is friendly but this place needs an upgrade. Expected much better from the la fitness brand.
