Will never buy furniture from value city in Nottingham ever again or any other value city furniture. Back in August we purchased furniture it was delivered efficiently and quickly and they put it together everything was great until we got a hole in it. We purchased the extra stain and repair warranty and it was determined back in August that it would be replaced either the cushion or the cushion cover. We have been waiting since August for a new cushion or a new cushion cover and the manager Amy keeps saying it's coming on the next delivery but it still hasn't. We have been waiting since September for a new cushion or a cushion cover. I paid for the extra replacement warranty which covers anything but they don't tell you that it takes forever for it to come

The delivery driver arrived at 10:30 a.m (out of service window 7-9) with half of a couch. I called and spoke with the C.S rep. come to find out the other half of couch was on back order until 11/28/17. Which takes us to this morning, where I received the other half ( out of Service window again) DAMAGED. I was told by the Manager that I would receive an extra 30 % off but emailed a receipt showing I will be paying 366.01 more than the original price. I pray that your company is never allowed to get over on any other young first time buyer EVER AGAIN.

I've never ordered anything from here, I'm only speaking from the perspective of a person who was just looking around. I went here with my mom and her friend. The first time I was here I remember the store being really large and the furniture was nice. However this particular Value City location has changed. Poor selection, the place looks bigger on the outside than it is the inside. I don't remember the store being so small. Also the furniture is very ugly. I thought IKEA's stuff was strange. Lol. I didn't see anything I liked, everything was so weirdly designed or had funky looking colors. The time period that came to mind is the 60s and 70s, but nothing looked stylish, it was like the ugly version of vintage furniture. Don't waste your time here, there was no variety and you can find better looking furniture other places. Value City has really gone downhill.

I wish I could give a negative 100. Please Do not EVER purchase anything from this company!!! Below is my story. Value City White marsh has NO Value in its customers. Not to mention I was suppose to receive an additional 30 % off for my troubles but was billed for more than the actual sales price of my items. My sectional did come in but it was damaged!!! In addition, they cannot redeliver it until 01/03/2018 2 months after the fact. Purchase if you feel like being lied to cheated and left hanging.!

In. Now this last week the manager Amy has been avoiding us. It is now December 20 and we still have no replacement piece. I'm calling them up and demanding a whole new Couch bc I tired of waiting. This is ridiculous. I feel lied to and they just want us to forget about it and I won't. I will NEVER buy anything from them again. I bought something from Gardiners and they always called me back if I had a question or problem.

When Reviewing the pictures below you will see 1. a half of couch that was delivered and 2.Once the other half was received it came damaged with scratches and indents into the furniture that will not go away.

Hello,

Terrible furniture store. They ripped us off by selling us a chair that was broken on delivery. We were patient for 6 months waiting for them to replace it. They kept pushing it back because they already had our money and kept selling the chairs they had in stock. We finally yelled at them and told them to give us a refund and take their broken junk. Never will shop here again.

The living room and bedroom sets that my mom bought from Value City were beautiful and delivered by two great professional movers who were very courteous. The furniture was assembled quickly and looked great! Mr. Mike Elinoff who patiently helped us find just what we wanted was very kind, patient and had a great personality. In fact, all of the furniture in my house is from Value City and I will definitely buy from them in the future!

I came into your store on 11/19/17 to look for furniture for my first home. I was helped by the sales rep Kim Vasiliades. After spending almost 2 hours I decided to purchase a sectional, fire place and cocktail table from your company. I was told all items were in stock and would arrive for delivery 11/25/17. It was brought to my attention by Michael ( the only helpful and truthful vcf customer service rep) that the fireplace was not in stock until 02/20/2018 and the Cocktail table until 01/02/2018. At that point I was not only frustrated but very upset that I wasted 2 hours deciding on something that will not be in stock until 02/20/2018. After not being allowed to purchase the floor model. I decided to keep everything with the expectation of the sectional being delivered on 11/25/2017.

Update: After seeing their response 6 months after they posted it under this review is hilarious because it's damage control. They have our phone number and address in their system obviously. If you really wanted to fix what was wrong your company policy would be to not lie to your customers about what furniture you have in stock and keep them waiting for almost 6 months while each month changing the delivery date for a replacement your incompetent employees broke. Reply again with a hollow contact us plea. My friends, family, and myself will never spend another dollar at this terrible chain.
